Volatile stock market prices through Corona

Stock markets fluctuate in different directions around the world and interpret news from China and the United States differently about the corona virus. After the increase in new infections had already transferred a depressing mood to the stock market at the beginning of the week, positive and negative reports alternate again and again. The increasing number of cases in Beijing will be answered with new security measures. New closings and bans on flights have curbed the spread of the corona virus, according to the Chinese government. In China itself, the news was seen as credible and positive. The CSI 300 index, which tracks the values ??of the two stock exchanges in Shanghai and Shenzhen, closed trading on Thursday with an increase of 0.67 percent. The Shanghai SSE Composite Index also ended the day with a slight gain of 0.12 percent.

But outside of China, the fear of a second wave of viruses remains. The Chinese government's reports are viewed with skepticism and do not prevent an outbreak in Europe or other Asian countries. And there is no more encouraging news from the USA either. Some states report unprecedented numbers of cases. This is also reflected in the development of the leading Dow Jones index. After a streaky week, the index ended the day in the lower negative area, as did the broader S&P 500. However, as has been proven many times in the past, the Nasdaq Composite Index was able to hold its own in the positive area. Despite strong fluctuations, it saved itself in the green at the close of trading on Wednesday.
